Volunteer Opportunities

Tidelands Health Volunteer Services provides a range of opportunities for our wonderfully generous volunteers ages 16 and older at both Tidelands Georgetown Memorial Hospital, Tidelands Waccamaw Community Hospital, many of our Tidelands outpatient clinics and rehabilitation centers, as well as our new location at The Market Common opening later in 2019.

Typically volunteers give one 4 hour shift/week, however you are more than welcome to give additional time as you desire. Nearly 100 volunteers give thousands of hours every year to help our community with their healthcare needs.

Opportunities include:

• Administration
• Community health education
• Patient/Family Guides
• Employee health
• Gift shop
• Tidelands Health Community Advisors (participation in projects and committees, some regularly scheduled and some ad hoc)
• Human resources
• Nursing services
• Patient partner services (Patient visit on the morning after admission)
• Pharmacy
• Reception
• Recovery room
• Spiritual care
• Surgical waiting area family guides
• Valet/shuttle services (Golf Cart) 
• There are currently no opportunities in labor and delivery.
