Responsibilities

Position Summary:  The Tidelands Health Neuroscience Practice Manager (NPM) oversees the overall daily operations of one or more orthopedic practices.  The NPM works closely with physicians and staff to develop, plan, coordinate and implement the TH strategic healthcare plan.  Responsibilities include working with administration to formulate budgets, expansion efforts, program development, office coding billing / collections, employee management and training, policy & procedure management, medical record management, technical issues, physical office issue resolution, physician issue resolution, daily flow, and evaluating standards of care for patients.  The NPM will be responsible for the development of process improvement opportunities and enhancing operational effectiveness while emphasizing cost containment without jeopardizing important innovation and quality of care.  The NMP will ensure that practice operations and team members are knowledgeable of and in compliance with applicable regulatory, licensing, applicable accrediting agency standards, and state and federal laws. The NPM will demonstrate proficiency with the electronic medical record (EMR), effectively implementing and monitoring utilization of the EMR to achieve documentation practice standards and quality metrics consistent with Meaningful Use requirements. The NPM will participate in marketing efforts through various related activities and overall act as the liaison and a channel of communication between the practice and TH administration. NPM will participate in teamwork activities with peers and complete all duties as assigned by TH administration.

 

Experience

 

A minimum of one-year prior medical office practice management experience preferred.

 

Education

High school diploma required

Related Associate’s or Bachelors degree preferred

Healthcare or Business specific degree preferred

 

Licensure / Certification

Certified Medical Practice Manager or licensure through an accredited program preferred

 

Other

Achieves the minimal range for a PM I based on the Tidelands Health practice manager complexity assessment algorithm

 

Special Skills

Must be strongly proficient with PC’s and Microsoft office software such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

Prior Electronic Medical Record experience preferred

Strong analytical problems solving skills required

Exemplary communication and teamwork skills required

 

Physical Requirements: Light Physical Agility Test (PAT) Rating

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently (activity or condition exists from 1/3 to 2/3 of the time) required to stand, sit, and walk; frequently to use hands, fingers; and frequently to talk or hear. The employee must exert up to 15 pounds of force occasionally (activity or condition exists up to 1/3 of the time), and/or up to 5 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
